I ran in the Congress Avenue Mile on Saturday. Secretly hoping to run a sub 5:00 minute mile, I came in at 5:11. Well, the official posted results say 5:19, but Jessica and I both clearly saw the clock read 5:11 when I crossed, so that’s what I’m going with. Sure, the race is almost all downhill, but 5:11 is still an absurd time for me. And to think, I ran the first 800 in 2:20, which means I faded baaaadddddly. Still, 5:11. I’ll take it.
