Sometimes I Snowboard
If I could, I would just be a snowboard bum in the winter, and a beach bum in the summer, and hang out in between. Here’s a bad edit from New Year’s Day 2019 at Mary Jane/Winter Park. It’s probably better without sound :).
What’s the point? I like watching football with Pat. I like snowboarding, but love it when I do it with someone else. Work is ok, but I like it most when I am learning new stuff. I love being around women. Dinner parties with friends are great. I love watching my boys in their activities. […]
I wrote about our Drupal, Pantheon, CircleCI development process at my day job awhile ago, and I recently gave a talk at work where I delved a little more deeply into the architecture and process. Here is a snippet of that talk.
UPDATE: Watch a tech talk I recently gave at work about this process. I’ve been doing some pretty cool work with Drupal 8, Composer, Github, Pantheon and CircleCI around Continuous Integration and Deployment at the day job. As part of a learning exercise I wanted to install […]
I ran a 5k this week, the 22nd Annual Lafayette Oatmeal Festival 5K. It’s a local race that I want to support, the start being about a mile from our house. 21:25 chip time which is 3 seconds faster than my turkey trot time from November. Considering the holidays and vacation I guess I’m ok […]
So I recently removed myself from most social media. Well, Facebook and Instagram. I haven’t missed them at all. I can still see Juiskie’s Insta and every now and again she’ll show me something on Facebook from the family, but otherwise those platforms are just a sink hole. But what I have done is opened […]
Another little workout today, 6x643m, each in around 2:35-ish. If that seems an odd distance, it is. So I had the idea to do 800 repeats today, and figured I’d hop over to Waneka Lake where there are mile markers. The trail around the lake is 1.2 miles, and well, I thought there were 1/4 […]
