Just a piddly little update, nothing interesting. Though I’m reminded of a somewhat-too-precious internet blurb I read today. Speaking of “the organizing principle of David Foster Wallace’s writing: If we must say something, let’s at least only say true things.” RIP Mr. Wallace, I never read any of your books, but I’m not sure I buy that philosophy, for life, for (gulp) fiction, or for this blog.
Anyway, any recent runs or workouts worth reporting? Not really. Ten Wilkes last week. Five by one-mile on Tuesday, my fastest ever on average I think. Still somewhere in the 60s for weekly mileage. Running doubles occassionally.
I think I need a race, preferrably something with huge trophies where I can destroy stroller moms and neighborhood kids. That’s just how I roll.
Yo, hit me on my beeper.
I read and recommend the following book: The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner. Money matters, but not as much as you may believe. Envy is your enemy. Trust is crucial. Don’t think. Smile. Be grateful. True things.
