Joshua says, “you need to take a job.” I say I have a job. He says, “but you don’t make much moneys. You need a different job that will give you more money so we can buy a cool car.”
Which reminds me of another “kids say the darndest things” story. After last January’s UT football National Championship celebration we were at “der IHOPs” when David Thomas walked in with family and friends. After he sat down and ordered, Joshua and Elijah went over to get his autograph, and Elijah said, “Hello Mr. Thomas. May we have your autograph? My dad is your favorite player.” Hahaha. That’s right, how can I not be everyone’s favorite player?
Oh yeah, seven mile fartlek yesterday. Good run with Miles, Elsa, Rich and John(?) the high school kid. 49.45 total. Everyone took turns leading and everyone kicked my ass. Riding the bike on Wednesday for the first time in months really took its toll on the liveliness in my legs. Also, two minutes on and one minute off is exponentially harder than one minute on and one minute off, not just twice as hard as you might think. Try to do ten tomorrow.
One last cute as cats quote from Joshua: “When is Gabriel going to blow his horn?”
